I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT# 107315). My passion for counseling started when I became a hypnotherapist in 1992. I worked as a con-joint therapist with a licensed marriage and family therapist. I actively helped people with HIV, AID’s, grief, and anxiety. In order to expand my knowledge and my skills, I got a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at Argosy University. During and after my master’s program I volunteered at a domestic violence shelter counseling women and children during a critical time in their lives. I have worked with a psychiatrist doing individual therapy, couples and family therapy as well as addiction counseling. For the past 5 years I have been working in addiction treatment centers working with clients who have both an addiction and mental health diagnoses. I have been fortunate enough to work with individuals, families, couples and group therapy. I have worked with all types of people in many different situations. I believe therapy is a road we travel together. My specialties are working with the  individuals, couples, families, dual diagnoses, addiction, women’s issues, grief, mood disorders, relationship problems. My theoretical orientation is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Solution Focused Therapy.
