Bridgette O'Connell Becker
I am a Marriage and Family Therapy Trainee specializing in trauma. I deeply honor the therapeutic relationship and alliance. I understand personally the significant commitment of walking as a couple or individual through the unique journey of feeling “not ok,” to a place of self-discovery and healing. My work is client-centered and evidence-based, informed by my background in nutrition, yoga and mindfulness. I have had the privilege of supporting individuals with their health for many years lending to an approach that is somatically oriented and trauma-informed.
I completed my undergraduate work at Goddard College with a trauma emphasis and am currently completing my Masters in Counseling Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara. I have worked in community mental health sites, inpatient centers and retreat settings. I work with individuals, couples and adolescents. I utilize Depth, EMDR, Satir, Psychodynamic, Attachment / Neurobiological, Mindfulness and Somatic approaches.
